Yana Rodriguez graduated from PA program at SUNY Downstate University and passed Board Certification as Physician Assistant in 2011. Prior to joining Heart and Health Medical Yana was part of New York Presbyterian hospital for over 10 years managing patients with various cardiovascular disease. Initially Yana Rodriguez was part of interventional cardiology team at NYP Columbia hospital providing care to patient with multiple cardiac conditions such as severe Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial infarction, Valvular disease, Peripheral vascular disease and Congenital heart disease. Yana worked with patients in hospital and perioperative settings. Since 2017 she worked with vascular surgery team at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist hospital, where she provided care to patients with end stage renal disease managing their hemodialysis access, severe peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery stenosis, and chronic non healing wounds. She received extensive training from the best vascular surgeons at New York Presbyterian hospital, assisted in surgical procedures such as lower extremity bypass, carotid endarterectomies, creation of HD access, placement of ports, wound debridement and wound care. Yana believes in building a strong connection with patients, developing trust, and making them feel supported. “My goal is to educate my patients, so they thoroughly understand their disease and treatment options”. I want them to feel confident to ask questions and share any concerns.”
