Who We Are

The Allstate Corporation is the largest publicly held personal lines property and casualty insurer in America. Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993. We are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the trading symbol ALL. This puts us alongside other assets on the market, such as the Pfizer shares, allowing us to be a part of many people’s financial investments. Allstate is widely known through the “You’re In Good Hands With Allstate ®” slogan. As of year-end 2013, Allstate had $123.5 billion in total assets. In 2014 Allstate was number 92 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies in America.

Our People

The Allstate Corporation encompasses more than 70,000 professionals made up of employees, agency owners and staff. Among Allstate’s employees, 57 percent are women, and 32 percent are minorities. More than 40 percent of officers and managers are women and 24 percent come from one of five minority groups.

Our Products

Consumers access Allstate insurance products (auto, home and life) and services through Allstate agencies, independent agencies and Allstate exclusive financial representatives, as well as via www.allstate.com and 1-800 Allstate ®. At year-end 2013, Allstate had nearly 12,000 exclusive Allstate agencies and financial representatives in the United States and Canada. The company markets private passenger auto and homeowners insurance under the Allstate, Encompass ® and Esurance ® brand names. Esurance, an Allstate company, provides Esurance brand auto insurance products directly to consumers online, through call centers and through select agents, including Answer Financial.
