Once you turn 65, you may qualify for Medicare. As soon as you enroll, you can schedule your one-time “Welcome To Medicare” preventive visit with a participating healthcare provider, like Heart and Health.
At Heart and Health, we believe that preventative care is of the utmost importance, so we encourage all Medicare benificaries to take advantage of this excellent benefit. The Welcome to Medicare visit is completely free to eligible patients – there are no copayments or deductibles.
Am I Eligible?
The “Welcome To Medicare” benefit is covered during the first 12 months that you have Original Medicare (Part B) and Medicare Advantage Plans. Medicare also covers an annual wellness visit, which is a comprehensive visit that includes a review of your medical history; preventive tests and screenings and more.
What Happens at the “Welcome To Medicare” Visit?
At Heart and Health, your office visit will include a full evaluation including:
- Family and medical history, current health conditions, and prescriptions
- Blood pressure, vision, weight, and height checks
- Determine if any preventive screenings, services or shots are currently needed
- Schedule further tests if indicated, based on your current state of health and medical history
If you need additional tests, you’ll be happy to know that many routine tests and services can be performed right in our office – no need to visit another facility!
