Congratulations to our Summer 2012 interns

The summer interns completed the 3 month internship program at Heart and Health. They helped medical assistants, by taking vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels. In addition, They were able to help perform EKGs, pulmonary function tests, and a variety of different stress tests. Besides clinical experiences, they also were able to conduct research on heart healthy natural herbs, supplements, and foods found on www.LongIslandHolisticDoctor.com/. Throughout the summer, they have participated in numerous community outreach events, making free blood pressure testing available to the public, and educating people on the importance of early detection and prevention.
